Hi! I just read your post in "tell us all about your horsey year" I didn't realize you were having that much trouble. Have you found a saddle yet? Do you have an indoor arena where he's boarded? I wish I could help you out! I know that feeling, I had a gelding last winter that I sold because every time I sat on him it felt like "death", but I've found that having a set of eyes on me really helped me keep it together. Even having my non-horsey hubby within earshot made me feel more secure.

How broke is Louie? Are you having trust issues with him, or is it mostly on your end? I know you've been dumped pretty hard, but in a controlled environment do you feel any better (arena vs. pasture/roadside riding)?

Hang in there, it'll be hard, but I'm sure you will gain your confidence back.
