Brand new site!

Hi everyone!

As you can see, we're switching over to using this new site. It will work a lot better to make this a more robust community, and it's also more cost effective. I hope that everyone likes it and uses all the features!

(Hopefully it will cut down on the spam posts that we've been receiving lately too. I look forward to seeing less of that!)

Wow, the DNS switched over WAY faster than I expected. I am totally sorry about that, I meant to give a few days of access to the old forum. =(

Hopefully none of you lost anything important that you needed, but I'm working on getting a copy of the forum back up so that you guys can still read all the old posts.

Is there any way to go to just new posts on the forum? That is how I read that last one and I'm not sure I'll have time to click to each forum.

You can look at select discussions instead of topics? on the forum, and then recent activity. Well that's all I've figured out so far . . . .

I also just figured out that on "my page" there is a "Discussions" link on the left and it will bring you to new discussions too. I think I'm going to like this new setup! nevermind, I was wrong!

I'm all for cutting down on the spam. I was a bit suprised at the takeover. LOL! I'm sure it would be nice to be able to copy in some of the other posts from the other forum. if you do get a copy - I can help move some that might be good to have back.

Jury is still out . . . not a big fan of "My Space" or "Facebook" type boards. Guess I'll set back and see how this flows.

2 problems I've had so far, the Reply to This box is directly below the original post, I tend to see this as the bottom of the page and exit the post.
I just posted on the Conformation page and the photo's just posted as links. Is there a way to post a photo that shows up in the post? It will be difficult to post a critique without being able to see the photos.

So far, not a fan of the new site. :( Just seems so "cold".....Something just doesn't feel right. *shrugs* Guess it's just gotta grow on ya.

Never mind, I figured it out. I just needed to click on the little photo frame instead of the upload files link.

Same! The bookmark I had for the old forum actually took me straight to a page where I could see the titles of only posts with replies I hadn't read yet. It was SO nice, and I hope there's a way to do the identical thing with this new forum.

It would seem if you click on Forums in the right hand corner is a box with the word categories. Click on that and it'll drop down to discussions. The discussions are sorted by default by last activity- so you can see the most recent or you can change the way you sort it. Right now I'm still figuring things out myself, so...its' a learning experience for us all.
