Midwest Horse Talk

My herd doubled yesterday. The neighbors horses were out and were about a mile down the road. I picked them up and brought them home. So my little herd of 3 is now (temporarily) a herd of 6. I've added a Bay, a Palomino Paint, and a Roan Mule to my 2 Blacks and a Gray. Since they have been pasture neighbors they all get along fine, after about 10 minutes of running back and forth they all settled in like they've been together forever.

Pearl, my filly, is very curious about the Mule. She keeps following her around like she's trying to figure out what's different about her. And they are very close to the samne size, so she thinks she has a playmate.

The neighbor did stop in last evening and thanked us for bringing them home, We told him just to leave them here since there is no problems with them and I want my fields eaten down some, there is more to graze on than my 3 can eat.

Oh my gosh!! But, knowing you, it makes perfect sense. It's good they get along and already know each other. Just more friends! I bet watching Pearl and the Mule is a hoot!
