NIce rescue pony needs new home.

I have a very sweet 10 year old pony gelding that I adopted from Two Hind Socks (Great Expectations Ranch) a while back that I would like to find a new home for. He is about 11-12 hands and on the finer side. He is broke to ride we were told but we are all too big to ride him. He came as a companion to the other pony we adopted from Two Hind Socks. We call him Malarkey. He has all of his shots and has never foundered. He has nice ground manners and is good with people and other horses. Does anyone have the need for a lovely pony? He would make a lovely driving pony and I can send his harness with him. I would like to give him away and am only posting this here among my friends.

54' Blanket used once

I have a royal blue and black JT international(brand) 600 denier ripstop waterproof turnout blanket for sale for 55.00. It is a size 54" and it is of med/heavy weight. I just bought this blanket today(5/10/08)for 75.00. It has been used once for only a few hours on a trailer ride. I will not be needing it again as by next winter the horse this was bought for will be to big for it. This blanket has - breathable 210 denier lining - Tail flap - 300 grams of polyfill(med/heavy weight) - Adjustable leg straps with elastic ends - crossed surcingles with elastic ends and rubber keepers - large shoulder gussets - double buckle front - fleece wither protection - no back seam to prevent leaking. I'm not sure how much it would cost to ship but I'm willing to find the cheapest for whatever zip code your in. Pics avil. I forgot to add that it also has D rings for a hood.

I read where you've ridden at Big Creek and also WY. I am heading to Big Creek for the June '09 ride. There've been times when I've done 3 rides in one year there--Apr, June and Oct. I've also ridden in WY 2 different summers. We camped at Burgess...

I LOVE my new mare

OK now I get to finally add a diary to all and not feel silly. Actually I'm amazed at how this all turned out since I met her. I'm amazed because when I went to Simons Paint sale I had absolutely no intentions to get a mare. I have always thought they were bitchy,,So all day long I eye balled certain geldings. I've always thought geldings were more even tempered. Never once saw her working in warm up or paid attention.
I had a few fave geldings I watched and talked to owners/riders and was going… Continue

We saved your dogs tonight.

(This is part of a journal entry I wrote yesterday about two of our rescue dogs.)

We saved your dogs today. You brought in two perfectly healthy, loving labs and told us to destroy them or "whatever" we wanted to do with them. Your reason was that you were "moving out of state" and they were "too old". You looked us in the eye, told us their names, and walked out leaving a life time of love behind you.

We looked deep into their bright eyes, and couldn't find it in ourselves to slip the needle… Continue

Frustrated with Finnegan.

So I'm a little bummed out today. I purchased a horse (Finnegan) in early September, and since then he has had one misfortune after another. Granted, I didn't pay much at all for him - but this is getting ridiculous.

When I first got him, he colicked bad THREE days later. I'm talking bad. He should have died, his gut was twisted and he was given like a 20% chance of making it through the night. Well, he made it. While he was in pain, he threw himself down in his stall and ended up being lame fo… Continue
